One of my favorite stores, H&M, is making it their duty to build a more sustainable future for not just us, the consumers- but for everyone involved in the beautiful thing we like to call fashion.
They are following seven key ambitions to achieve a more sustainable fashion future:
1. Provide fashion for conscious customers
2. Choose and reward responsible partners
3. Be ethical
4. Be climate smart
5. Reduce, reuse, recycle
6. Use natural resources responsibly
7. Strengthen communities
H&M started the movement in 2012 and they were named the biggest user of organic cotton in the world for the second time in a row. They are also the first fashion retailer to launch a global system of collecting old and used clothes and restoring them for further use. If those awesome facts didn’t impress you enough, this past March, H&M was named the “World’s Most Ethical Company of 2014”.
